Passionfruit - Vanilla

Large ornamental red pendulous flowers followed by yellow oblong fruit. The pulp has a delicate flavour, is sweet, juicy and aromatic. The fruits take longer to form and mature so need long warm summer.

Habit - Young plants have very narrow leaflets in their juvenile stage which mature into broader three lobed leaves as the plants mature. Once this foliage is developed the plant will settle down to flower and fruit.

Size - 1.5-7m a year

Pollination - Self-fertile. Passionfruit plants are insect pollinated.

Harvest - Autumn
